Photo Entry: Around the Block

A quick post tonight, showing some of my recent photography around the neighbourhood. I love this city, and could easily find a million things to take pictures of every time I'm on a walk. There are always people asking for their photograph to be taken, and whenever I'm out shooting, I always meet some interesting characters (such as the two men pictured above, who literally begged me to take their photo in Sarphati Park).

What a great neighborhood, and interesting characters!! I especially love the records picture.

Thanks for your lovely comments on my blog! Yes, Montreal is THE coldest place in winter!

I always enjoy looking at your photos because you're a talented photographer. I, on the other hand, like to take pictures of scenery or buildings. I'm way too shy to take photos of strangers.

Cheers.

I love them all! I too, like Bluefish above, am too shy to take photos of strangers. Great captures of the people, and especially of the two men! I can see they genuinely enjoyed being a part of whatever you were creating ;-)

You live right in the heart of a great area! Amsterdam is really, below the surface of what tourists know it for, a very people-friendly city :-)

Hi there! Lovely photos! I will definitely stakeout Serendipity for you. Thank you for the request. I too have always wanted to go there. Amazing how living here for a few years and walking past it quite a few times I still have yet to go! My friends always go on and on about the frozen hot chocolate! yum!

I'm always afraid to take photographs of strangers. Do you ask their permission first or just take a sneaky shot?
