200th post!

So this marks my 200th post, and I'm celebrating by announcing some awards that have piled up patiently on my computer. Before I begin, I would just like to thank everyone who was so supportive and encouraging when I announced my move back to Canada. It was such a difficult decision to return here temporarily for school, and for the longest time I refrained from mentioning it on my blog because, deep down, I didn't want it to be true. But complications with student visas, international loans, etc. brought about unexpected plans. I'm determined to make the most of my time here in Canada, and have chosen to look at the many positives in my life. Anyway, a big thank you to all of you who e-mailed and commented. Knowing that you all will stick with me even though I'm technically not living a "Life Abroad" at the moment means a great deal to me.

The first award was given to me months ago by the lovely Aubrey from Made You Blush. Her blog is full of fashion, family, and great Monday Muse posts!

She gave the award to two of us who inspire her to spread her wings, and I'd like to do the same. I'm passing this award onto:
Adele from Poptart
Bluefish from Destination Danmark
Vivian from Lost in Translation

The second award is from Nicole at my teacups in peony. If you haven't yet checked out her Love Story project, I highly suggest it. It's one of my favourite blog series and is always an interesting read!

I'd like to pass this award onto:
Kelly at Roed Book
Nicole at La Mia Vita
Iva at Iva Messy
Em and GC at Ciao Down

And finally, a great award from Margarita at Ramblings of a Fab Brunette!

Aw, thank you so much for passing on the award!! So sweet. I also loved reading your answers to the questionnaire. I'm sorry to hear you feel homesick, but it's totally normal. You seem to be doing great, and like you said, make the most of your time in Canada. I know how hard it is to come home, but keep trying, that's all I can say :)

thanks so much for the award!! i too, know how hard it is to readjust from life abroad. the best thing is, your experience in amsterdam will always be a part of the person you are. no one will really know how it effected you, but you will forever be changed by your experience there.

MMMmmm carrot muffins sound yummy...do they taste like carrot cake too? Maybe i could try one, but i would have to cheat and put some cream cheese frosting on top. Hehehe. Have a fabulous week hun.

Thank you for the award.

Enjoy the good time in Canada for me. I'm somewhat obsessed with BB 11 as well. But this season seems to be very dull though 'cause they didn't get enough drama queens on the show.

What the heck? Here I wasn't able to follow for a few days, and then you're back in Canada! Strange coincidence, but we got back here on Saturday. We're in Burlington, Ontario. Just home for a week though. Then it's back to Kikkerland, then on to Vienna.
Enjoy your stay. It's always nice to be home, but that's just an old guy talking. You still have way more "wanderlust" in your bones I'm thinking.

Best to you.
Bob.
