Eggs

Easter weekend was beautiful here in Canada. While the weatherman consistently called for rainy, chilly days, what we got were sunny, warm ones. In addition to a rather competitive egg hunt between my niece and nephew, we enjoyed seeing wild bunnies jump through our backyard, watched some Royal wedding documentaries, and even dyed some eggs. Always the good sport, Gabriel joined in the egg-dying, and produced some surprisingly beautiful tie-dye-esque ones (pictured below). What did you do for Easter?

What did I do for Easter?
Well, we didn't get to paint any eggs this year. So I missed that.

However.

Wait for it..

I went to Rome to see the Pope*! Ain't that a gas?
Was actually my wife's idea, being as she's the card carrying Catholic and all. I just made all the arrangements. Hafta say, it was kind of cool, and I'm about as religious as a garden gnome.
Apparently we can now also be referred to as "Pilgrims"?
pffft! Whatever!
Did some of the touristy stuff. Walked a lot. Took some long afternoon naps to compensate. I mean, everything closes up in the afternoons anyway, so you may as well chill out in your room.
It was a pretty good experience all in all, in spite of the hoards of people.
Seriously.
Hoards.
Have I ever mentioned how I'm not really a "city boy"??
I didn't take the time to check all the gazillion links on your blog, but I'm sure you've been there, so I'm probably preaching to the choir.
Hm, is that some sort of religious pun?

Hope all is well.

Best to you.

Bob.

*I initially wrote the "freakin' Pope" but figured that might be too strong for some folks. So it's only a footnote. Nobody ever bothers to read this far down.
