Photo Flashback: Amsterdam

DSC_0362DSC_0302DSC_0369DSC_0370DSC_0379DSC_0363DSC_0410DSC_0414DSC_0425
  1. Bouquets of “bloemen” (flowers) at the Albert Cuyp Market, one of the largest markets in Amsterdam.
  2. Burgermeester; the best burgers in Amsterdam that can’t be beat.
  3. Amsterdam grunge.
  4. Graffiti and bicycles…what else epitomizes Amsterdam like this combo?
  5. Suriname restaurant.
  6. Roses at the market (love those little chalkboard signs in the flower stalls)
  7. A tangle of bicycles near my favourite ice cream stand.
  8. Coconut drinks for sale.
  9. Café De Pijp, on the corner of our old street.
*Photo flashbacks should become a regular installment, don’t you think? I love reliving our time in Amsterdam and other places, especially when I’ve caught the travel bug again (which I think I have).

hi there! i just stumbled upon your blog. i'm from the netherlands originally, but moved around a lot (in asia and europe) when i was younger. i just returned to amsterdam from montreal, canada, where i completed my bachelors degree. it almost seems like we're opposites in that way!

i'm really enjoying your blog and your old posts about the netherlands, i've added a few of your day trips to my list of things to do.

if you want to relive amsterdam life a little, check out my blog, where i'm posting weekly "amsterdam insights." http://maevdkrogt.wordpress.com/category/amsterdam-2/amsterdam-insights/
